Soon, You'll See. All You Do Comes With A Price.
2011 starts in a week. 2010 was a year full of loss and unforgettable experiences. Maan and Jai got married June 1st while Ate Kyle and kuya Chard are getting married on Jan. 15, 2011. Chino and Ecat are going to be parents. Somehow, they bring back my worrisome self. Worrisome, pressured self.
In my mind now are so many questions that need answers. However, curiosity might kill the cat or in my case, it took of the life of my darling Poppy. I can never get over how a dog given a lease on life was taken away by death; thus, not giving her the chance to live. It breaks my heart. It would be years until I decide with Divine Providence's guidance to be responsible for and take full ownership/be liable for a child's life and future. It isn't mine to give and forfeit but God The Father's.
After her death, a lot has changed for me. I would pamper Bea's shih tzu, Doug, everyday without fail. I put his needs first before mine and see to it he was bathed, combed, fed and healthy. Likewise, he's the family's "baby boy" once more.
Am I doing all these to prepare myself for the possibility of motherhood in the future? Is it only because I love dogs that I'm better at babysitting them than if they were my godkids or nieces and nephews? Before, I truly feared childbirth. I blame the media for promoting teen pregnancy and using it as bait to lure young girls to audition for reality shows such as "16 and Pregnant" and "Teen Mom".
MTV introduced these shows probably to somehow shed light on America's growing number of teenage pregnancies. I don't believe I'm the only one who finds this gimmick absurd and lacks values. not since the age of mobile phones and online chat did I see such a boon to society as a whole. Let me warn you how sensitive I'll be with this issue. Tread the path you're on with extreme caution.
Having known girls who are single moms by choice or accident (or fate, if you prefer) is not an easy truth to deal with. Why be in a rush to have kids if when the moment you've had them, all you recall and dwell on is the cause for their existence? You might find it hard in the long run to to stare at and touch your child for it feels like you're looking at and caressing their biological mum or dad.
Personally, there are 2 situations I wouldn't wish anyone on Earth to be in: abandoned by a boyfriend who lusted on you, made love to you and left you with your kid with him as a result of both yours and his immaturity. Yet, we're human and no matter how many mistakes we commit, God never ceases to understand us and love us. That's how His relationship with us works.
While there are a lot who ridicule you and taunt you for not thinking about your actions before you acted on them, God allows us to learn from what we've done and lets us be alone or discuss our problems with a trusted friend to find solutions to these unexpected situations.

2010 Christmas Wishlist
It's that time of the year again. Since I am so undecided about what I really want for Christmas and the fact that I am also scared to ask for over-the-top presents, I'll just make a list of what I think are quite reasonable presents to receive this year.
1.Grendha Pop Top Jelly Flats - Available at Shoe Salon

2. Complete Set of Pretty Little Liars books- This was turned into a TV series starring Lucy Hale and it is aired on ETC.

3. Nivea Angelstar beauty products- I so love these Nivea products! Love the scent and it is very hypoallergenic and safe on the skin.

4. Super Junior concert tickets
They will performing at the Araneta Center on February 26, 2011. Since these tickets are quite pricey, I would be lucky if I get them for free just like I got the Beast and KHJ plus rain concert tickets.
5. Trip to Singapore w/ my family which includes
a Universal Studios SG tour- Preferably during the summer break.

Murmurs, Whispers and Plain Mundane Thoughts
2 months to go before my 24th bday. I dread turning a year older not because I fear what's ahead for me but due to the fact that my biological clock is ticking. That plus the numerous nudging and nagging of elder relatives for me to walk down the aisle after my two older female cousins tie the knot.
Another thing I dread now that I'm two months shy of turning a year older is having my own space; my own pad. Recently, I've been reviewing Title XV of the Philippine Civil Code which summarizes emancipation and age of minority of Filipino youth.
I'm 23 so I'm qualified to file for emancipation from my parents. The one thing I dislike about Filipino customs and traditions is that the parents do not let go of their children even when they have started to build their own homes and have started their own families. How can you teach your kids to be responsible adults when you have given them excuses to be negligent and remain dependent on you for everything? When do you think is the proper time to say "farewell' and bid them goodbye so they can mind their own business and family?
All I want for my 24th bday is a place of my own. A home where I can do as I please and not be reprimanded for doing what I feel is right.
When all else fails, I could just move in with a friend who would be kind enough to take me in.
